2025 Eligibility
- Living Artists at all career levels 18 years of age or older.
- Each artist must enter their own artwork and may not act as an agent for another.
- Currently residing in the following counties located in Northeast Wisconsin and the Upper Peninsula of Michigan:
o NE Wisconsin: Brown, Calumet, Door, Florence, Fond du Lac, Forest, Green Lake, Iron, Kewaunee, Langlade, Lincoln, Manitowoc, Marathon, Marinette, Menominee, Oconto, Oneida, Outagamie, Portage, Shawano, Sheboygan, Vilas, Waupaca, Waushara, and Winnebago
o Upper Michigan: Alger, Baraga, Chippewa, Delta, Dickinson, Gogebic, Houghton, Iron, Keweenaw, Luce, Mackinac, Marquette, Menominee, Ontonagon, and Schoolcraft.

Conditions of Entry
- Artworks completed between 2023-2025
- Artworks cannot have been previously exhibited at the Neville Public Museum.
- Original works of two-dimensional or three-dimensional art created by the artist within the past two (2) years.
o Including but not limited to the following media: painting, drawing, printmaking, digital, graphics, photography, ceramics, glass or metal work, mixed media, textile etc. (media questions can be directed to devyn.mcilraith@browncountywi.gov)
Not eligible
- Reproductions of originals in any form, including giclée fine art reproductions (unless artwork is a photograph or printed digital creation)
- AI generated creations
- Works submitted for another individual
- Works completed prior to 2023
CALENDAR
- Submissions will be accepted from July 1, 2025 – Thursday, August 28, 2025 (closing at 11:59pm)
- Notification of juror’s decision will be emailed by September 12, 2025
Artwork drop off
- September 23, 2025: 9am to 7:00 pm
- September 24, 2025: 9:00 am to 5:00 pm
- Exhibit displayed from October 18, 2025- February 8, 2026
- Opening Reception and Awards Ceremony is October 18, 2025 from 1 – 3 pm (Remarks at 2 pm)
- Final day of the 80th Art Annual is February 8, 2026 (12pm - 5pm)

- February 10, 2026: 12 pm – 7:00 pm
- February 11, 2026: 9 am-12 pm
JUROR AWARDS
$500 First Place - artwork image will be used in 81st art annual logo, Solo exhibition (or small group show of artist choosing/coordination) in the community room in fall 2026.

ENTRY RULES & CONDITIONS:

1. Entry of artwork into the Art Annual implies an agreement on the part of the artist to comply with all conditions stated on the prospectus. All communication will occur electronically via e-mail. Any questions please contact devyn.mcilraith@browncountywi.gov
2. All entries must be completed online through Submittable. The submission fee per work is $15.
3. Each artist may enter a maximum of three (3) original artworks. Each entry must be submitted separately.
4. Work will be judged from up to three digitally submitted images (300 dpi preferred). No printed photographs will be considered. Please label images with the title of artwork if able (but do not include artist name, as this is a blind jury).
5. Incomplete and/or incorrect entries by the submission deadline will not be considered.
6. For artwork drop off: when objects are delivered the artist’s name and title of the artwork must be securely attached to each piece of accepted artwork. If the files are digital Artist name and title of work must be the digital files name.
7. Artworks accepted into the exhibition must be hand-delivered to the Neville Public Museum on the dates noted on the calendar. No shipments will be received. (Alternative arrangements may be considered but negotiated beforehand.)
8. All artwork accepted must be ready for professional exhibit installation.
- Works on paper, photographs, and other matted works must be securely framed and glazed (Plexiglass is recommended).
- Work will be judged from up to three digitally submitted images (300 dpi preferred). No printed photographs will be considered. Please label images with the title of artwork if able (but do not include artist name, as this is a blind jury).
- Artwork meant to hang on walls must be equipped with attached picture wire.
- Objects that require specific hanging mechanism, must provide instructions and the required display materials (i.e. jewelry mounts, dress forms for clothing or brackets/hangers for textile works, etc.)
- The Neville will not be responsible for breakage if glass is used for framing or for other framing inadequacies, nor will the Museum provide frames or picture wire.
9. Artwork must not exceed six feet in widths (including stand or base) and must weigh less than a total of 75 pounds. Unstable artworks requiring special care or excessive installation, live plant or animal components or those that pose a safety or security risk, will not be accepted.
10. Artworks requiring assembly are the responsibility of the artist. Arrangements for assembly and installation must be made in advance at a time agreed upon by the Museum.
11. The Neville Public Museum is not responsible for packing materials left after delivery of artworks.
12. Although the sale of artwork is encouraged during the exhibition, prices will not appear on or near the artwork or in the program. Instead, a price list will be available in the museum gift shop. If artwork is sold, it is required to remain on display for the duration of the exhibition. Sales are managed by the Neville gift shop which charges a 35% commission per artwork sold.
13. Artwork will be stored in a secure environment and will be insured by the Museum during the exhibition. It is the responsibility of the artist to insure artworks in transit to and from the Museum.
14. The Neville Public Museum reserves the right to photograph and reproduce artwork for promotional and educational purposes including use on their website and social media platforms. Artist reserve their right of copyright and ownership.
15. Artists of works selected by Neville Public Museum for addition to the permanent collection via purchase, will be expected to enter into a non-exclusive license agreement with the Museum for that work.
16. The Museum reserves the right to exclude or remove any artwork from the exhibition. Artists' works will not be edited or removed based on censorship for personal views unless they are harmful or hateful in nature.
Submission Fee
- The submission fee per work is $15.
- Each work should be submitted separately for the blind jury process.
- Each artist is allowed to submit three (3) separate works. If the number of entries exceeds the three, the additional entries will automatically be rejected; no refunds will be granted.
